In Salò, from October 28 to December 16, the Popular Antimafia School will take place, a series of seven evening meetings aimed at understanding and combating the mafia phenomenon. Promoted by Cross – the Observatory on Organized Crime at the University of Milan, in collaboration with the social cooperative K-Pax Onlus, the initiative seeks to raise awareness among citizens, students, and social workers about the dynamics of Cosa Nostra, Camorra, ’Ndrangheta, and environmental mafias. The events will be held in the Sala dei Provveditori and will feature participation from industry experts and university professors.

The first meeting will be inaugurated by Nando dalla Chiesa, who will discuss Cosa Nostra, followed by Federico Esposito on November 3, who will delve into the Camorra. The series will continue with a focus on the ’Ndrangheta on November 11, on emerging mafias on November 18, and will resume after a break on December 2 with a presentation on anti-mafia legislation. The last two sessions will be dedicated to environmental mafias on December 9 and to reflecting on mafia infiltration in Lombardy on December 16. All meetings will take place from 8:30 PM to 10:30 PM, with mandatory registration by October 20.
