Recent incidents of vandalism and theft have raised new concerns regarding the safety of the port in Desenzano del Garda. In recent days, several moored boats have been targeted by unknown individuals, with damage and theft reported by their owners. Councilor Andrea Spiller emphasized that, despite significant investments in surveillance systems and improvements to public lighting, the situation remains critical, as recent events have reignited debates about the protection of boats. Spiller pointed out that the measures implemented initially seemed sufficient to ensure a degree of tranquility in the port, but recent occurrences have proven otherwise. With the installation of high-resolution cameras in the port area and numerous reports filed by affected owners, there is now an expectation for prompt action from the authorities to identify those responsible for the damages. The administration is urged to implement further strategies to prevent the recurrence of such incidents, which have become more frequent compared to other ports in the region. Italian Version
