The Diocesan Museum of Trento will host the exhibition “Faces Through Time: Portraits and Figures of Five Centuries,” curated by Domizio Cattoi, starting Friday, October 25, 2024. The exhibition will feature a selection of portraits that illustrate the evolution of this artistic genre from the late 16th century to the mid-20th century, exploring not only the faces of the subjects but also the social and cultural dynamics of the time.
The inauguration will take place at 7:00 PM, and entry will be free until that hour; thereafter, the exhibition will be open during regular hours (10:00 AM – 1:00 PM and 2:00 PM – 6:00 PM), except on Tuesdays and designated holidays. This initiative offers an important opportunity to delve into the history of portraiture through significant works, highlighting changes in beauty standards and the emotions captured by painters over the centuries.
