Pozzolengo closes schools for the passage of the Giro d’Italia stage on Saturday
The Mayor of the Municipality of Pozzolengo issued Ordinance No. 10/2024 on April 26, 2024, establishing the extraordinary closure of primary and secondary schools on Saturday, May 18, 2024. This decision was made in anticipation of the passage of the 184th stage of the 107th Giro d’Italia, a nationally significant event, whose route will cross the town center of the Municipality.
The closure is necessary to ensure the safety of participants and the public during the race, considering the suspension of vehicular traffic on the route from 8:00 am until after 5:30 pm. The affected school buildings are located along the race route, making it difficult to access for educational activities and for students and parents to reach the schools.
The ordinance also includes the publication of the provision on the online bulletin board and on the institutional website of the Municipality, as well as the transmission of the same to various competent entities and authorities.
