Pozzolengo Wines Highlighted at MosaicoScienze Event on Viticulture and Local Industry

The wines of Pozzolengo featured on MosaicoScienze’s table. Lugana, Merlot, and Cabernet will be the main highlights of the event scheduled for Saturday, September 23rd, at 6:00 PM, in the conference room of the restaurant “La Muraglia” in Pozzolengo. An event promising to be very interesting, especially because the topic will focus on evaluating and promoting one of the sectors most relevant to the area and the municipality of Pozzolengo, viticulture.

Topics and Speakers of the Event

Hills, wines, and cellars of Pozzolengo” will be the theme discussed by numerous experts and knowledgeable speakers, such as journalist and enogastronomic expert Francesco Arrigoni, member of the Accademia Italiana della Vite e del Vino and specialist in viticulture and oenology Michele Vescia, the national president of “Arte in Tavola” Ezio Campagnola, delegate for Brescia and its province of the AIS Emilio Zanola, president of the Ente Vini Bresciani Alberto Pancera, and of the Consorzio Tutela Lugana DOC Francesco Ghiraldi. Coordination of the various interventions will be led by Luca Delpozzo, director of “Gardanotizie”, the first online newspaper of Lake Garda.

The opening greeting could only be entrusted, besides the local administrators, to the Assessore all’Agricoltura of Brescia Province, Giampaolo Mantelli, who will also provide a final summary of the discussions at the conclusion of the event.

Administrators and Organization

This initiative was promoted by the same municipal administrators, including the mayor Paolo Bellini, the tourism and culture assessor Riccardo Saetti, and Gabriele Tosi, a member of the executive council of the “Associazione Turistica colline moreniche del Garda”. It was from this association that the idea originated some time ago to create an event involving the eight municipalities that make up it: Castiglione delle Stiviere, Cavriana, Medole, Monzambano, Ponti sul Mincio, Solferino, Volta Mantovana, and Pozzolengo: seven municipalities in the Mantova hinterland and one, Pozzolengo, belonging to the Brescia province.

MosaicoScienze” is the name given to this event, which for the first time appears on the radar of local, regional, national, and international news, featuring a series of events, meetings, and discoveries among the hills of the Garda morainic zone. It includes 29 events proposed across the eight municipalities, scheduled over three intense days of talks and debates from September 22 to 24, involving renowned personalities.

Focus on the Theme “Body”

The central theme, around which the various interventions will revolve, is “The Body”. Multiple topics will be discussed from different, sometimes divergent, sometimes completely opposing viewpoints, with the hope of fostering a lively debate that includes the “general public,” who will be able to reflect, become curious, and be surprised.

The Nobel laureate Rita Levi Montalcini will inaugurate the entire event; Massimo Polidoro will examine numerous pseudo-scientific phenomena (levitation, telepathy, etc.) that involve the body and its alleged capabilities, aiming to distinguish science from its various deceptions; Roberto Vacca will analyze current, future, and speculative scenarios affecting not only the body but also the surrounding world; Alberto Oliverio will explain how the brain, which is today the most unknown part of the body, functions.

Giorgio Brunelli will review his years of personal research into spinal cord injuries. Gian Paolo Guerra and Angelo Cordioli will speak about heart transplants from their professional and personal perspectives, respectively.
