On Sunday, May 11, the Pozze Park in Lonato del Garda hosted the inauguration ceremony for the fifth edition of *Green Park*, a project dedicated to promoting outdoor sports as a means of community building and well-being. Despite the uncertain weather, the event saw excellent attendance, confirming the growing interest in the proposed activities.
Launched five years ago with the aim of enlivening public spaces through sports and cultural activities, Green Park has engaged numerous local associations over the years, creating a true outdoor gathering center. “We wanted to establish a point of reference for the community, raising awareness among citizens about the importance of physical activity for psycho-physical well-being,” emphasized Mayor Roberto Tardani, thanking the Polisportiva Lonato del Garda and all the operators involved.
The highlight of the day was the S3 Volleyball tournament, organized by Centro Volley Lonato ASD, which saw participation from over 300 young athletes from various municipalities in the province of Brescia. The program also included a gentle gymnastics session dedicated to mothers, led by the Audax group in celebration of their day, along with the active involvement of the “Bicimatte di San Tommaso” group. The entire organization was coordinated by Cinzia Simione, president of the Polisportiva.
In addition to sports, there was also entertainment provided by Radio Bruno, a long-standing partner of the project, and the Ludobus team with traditional “games of the past.” Numerous informational proposals were also available: educators from “Fuori Onda,” the youth space active at Palazzo Ondei, showcased the services offered, alongside informational booths from Maremosso and Cauto to promote future initiatives within the Green Park framework.
During the day, attendees also had the opportunity to sign up for activities listed in the *Green Park 2025 Calendar*, which will soon be available online through the official channels of the Municipality, the Polisportiva, and via the Sportclubby app.
