The highly anticipated Profumi di Mosto in Valtènesi returns on Sunday, 4 October 2026, inviting wine enthusiasts to celebrate the autumn grape harvest and explore the deep viticultural identity of Lake Garda’s western Brescia shores. Promoted by the Consorzio Valtènesi, this premier enological event opens the doors of 24 distinguished wineries scattered across the scenic morainic hills.
Three Exclusive Wine Tasting Itineraries
The 2026 edition of the festival is meticulously structured around three distinct geographical itineraries, each encompassing eight participating wineries between Desenzano del Garda, Padenghe, Moniga, Manerba, Polpenazze, Puegnago, and San Felice del Benaco. This careful organization ensures a harmonious distribution of visitors, allowing for intimate agronomic and enological insights directly from the producers.
Attendees are equipped with a personalized tasting glass and pouch, granting them the freedom to navigate the wineries independently or utilize the dedicated shuttle buses connecting the main railway stations and transport hubs of the lower lake.
Discovering the Native Groppello Grape
Each stop along the routes offers the unique opportunity to taste the fermenting must (mosto) alongside current vintages of Valtènesi DOC, Riviera del Garda Classico, and exclusive reserve selections. These exceptional wines are perfectly paired with traditional Garda gastronomic specialties, featuring local cheeses and premium extra virgin olive oil.
The undisputed protagonist of the day is the native Groppello grape, a historic varietal cultivated since the Renaissance within the western morainic amphitheatre. This remarkable grape imparts freshness, spicy notes, and mineral elegance to the wines, shining equally in its renowned rosé expressions and its structured reds. Tasting carnets for the event are available for purchase in advance through the official festival channels, with limited availability for each itinerary.
