The railway works for the Brescia-Verona connection are approaching an important milestone, with the major TAV Brescia Est-Verona construction site expected to be completed by June. Currently, 35 kilometers of tracks have been laid, and the installation of rails within the tunnels will soon begin. In the provincial area, all railway interventions have been completed, and in the coming days, the junctions will be activated to integrate the historic line with the new one. From next summer, the necessary tests and verifications will commence. The final section of the new AV/AC line, which will connect Brescia to Verona, is set to be completed by the end of the year. To date, the railway infrastructure has been installed on 35 of the total 48 kilometers of the route. According to Rete Ferroviaria Italiana, the completion of the works is expected by June 2026. By the end of the year, the phases of infrastructure installation and the setup of technological systems will be concluded, allowing for the start of train trial runs. Additionally, ancillary works are planned, including a new dog kennel in Calcinatello and the construction of overpasses and viaducts, including one over the Chiese River.
