A tragedy has struck the world of <strong rowing and the community of Puegnago, with the passing of Daniele Pavan, an athlete and official of the Società Canottieri Garda Salò, who died on Saturday afternoon during the Italian Coastal Rowing Championships in Trieste. Pavan, 50 years old, suffered a medical emergency while competing; despite the attempts of his teammates to assist him with CPR and the intervention of the emergency medical services, resuscitation efforts proved futile. His death occurred in front of the shocked eyes of athletes, coaches, and spectators. With a career that includes 39 editions of the Italian Championships in various specialties, Daniele Pavan was also a member of the board of directors of the Canottieri, responsible for the rowing sector. A resident of Puegnago, he leaves behind a wife and a 12-year-old son. Currently, his body is under the jurisdiction of the authorities for possible investigations, including an autopsy. The sports club has expressed its condolences for the loss of a valued council member and athlete, emphasizing his commitment to promoting the development of social activities within the Italian Rowing Federation.
