Puegnago mourns Daniele Pavan: tragedy in rowing
During the Coastal Rowing Championships held in Trieste last Saturday, Daniele Pavan, a council member and athlete of Canottieri Garda Salò, tragically passed away due to a medical emergency. The immediate intervention of his crewmates and the emergency responders from 118 was unable to save him, marking the end of a life dedicated to rowing that spanned over thirty years. Pavan, originally from Puegnago, was 50 years old and had participated in an impressive 39 editions of the Italian Championships, demonstrating consistent commitment to the sport, including involvement in management to promote rowing. The news of his passing has sparked deep sorrow within the sporting community and among friends. The president of the Italian Rowing Federation, Davide Tizzano, along with the Federal Council, expressed their heartfelt condolences to the Pavan family and SC Garda Salò, emphasizing the significant void left by his untimely departure.
