The association AMO Baldo-Garda, based in Bardolino, has been awarded the Silver Medal for Merit in Public Health by the President of the Republic, Sergio Mattarella. The ceremony took place on Monday, April 7th, at 11 a.m. at the Quirinale, in the presence of the Minister of Health, Orazio Schillaci. This recognition honors the association’s commitment to providing home care for terminally ill patients and supporting their families through a multidisciplinary team approach.
Founded in 2003, AMO Baldo-Garda is dedicated to alleviating the suffering of patients, working in synergy with specially trained doctors, nurses, and volunteers. The association also promotes seminars and public debates to raise awareness about palliative care. Ivan De Beni, president of AMO Baldo-Garda, expressed gratitude for the prestigious recognition, highlighting the importance of the support received from the local community and the Association of Recipients of Honorary Decorations, which proposed the nomination to the Head of State.
