Red House Shoreline Expansion Continues with 1000 sqm Development in Riva

After completing the first filling on the south side of the Red House, the dumping of stones continues now at the narrowest (and deepest) point along the lakeshore. The most significant expansion, covering 1000 square meters, is beginning to take shape, promising to transform the appearance of the shoreline.

Opinions on the Actual Activity

Many residents of Riva believe that those stones only tickle the lake, capable of swallowing without consequences far larger amounts of debris.

Interventions and Perspectives of the Administration

Assessor Matteotti, confident from underwater surveys and measurements, believes that the stones will eventually emerge and remain on solid ground, where trees, walkways, and benches can be installed.

He also adds that if this material proves insufficient, there are 650 meters of tunnels from the western bypass to be demolished. Additionally, there are another 200 meters of tunnels at Campi.
