Regional Defender Calls Out Desenzano Hospital Over Public Engagement
The Regional Defender of Lombardia has issued a formal statement urging respect for citizen participation rights concerning the Desenzano Hospital. The notice calls for clarification from relevant authorities, referencing regional regulations that mandate at least one public meeting annually and specify that the Assembly President has the authority to convene meetings and set agendas.
The communication, sent to Luisa Lavelli, President of the Assembly of Mayors for Area 11, also highlights that the November conference did not meet legal requirements for public participation, as it was held by a different body. The Committee of citizens has acknowledged the response as an official recognition of their role and has requested a public meeting, awaiting formal confirmation from the involved agencies.
