In recent years, the renewable energy sector has experienced significant growth, driven by increasing environmental awareness and the need to reduce dependence on fossil fuels. Consumers today can choose from various sustainable energy options, including wind energy, which utilizes turbines to generate electricity by harnessing the wind, and solar energy, which is easily accessible through the installation of photovoltaic panels on residential rooftops. The latter represents a particularly advantageous solution for households, as it allows them to produce a portion of their own energy needs independently.

In addition to traditional sources, new technologies are emerging, such as biomass energy, which uses organic materials to generate electricity or heat, and geothermal energy, which harnesses the earth’s heat. While hydropower continues to play a crucial role in global electricity production through large-scale plants, its domestic application remains limited. However, these renewable alternatives provide consumers with opportunities to reduce their environmental impact and achieve savings on energy bills, making energy self-sufficiency increasingly realistic.
