It is still possible to submit applications for the “Rinnova auto” program of the Lombardy Region, with a deadline set for October 31, 2025. This program consists of two lines: Line A, which promotes the replacement of polluting vehicles with cars that have zero or very low emissions, and Line C, dedicated to the scrapping of obsolete vehicles. The previous Line B, aimed at the purchase of low-emission motorcycles and eCargo bikes, has already exhausted its available funds last May, highlighting a significant interest in more sustainable solutions.
The Councillor for Environment and Climate, Giorgio Maione, reiterated Lombardy’s commitment to ecological transition through innovative policies rather than prohibitions. The data is clear: over the past twenty years, there has been a 40% reduction in pollutant emissions, resulting in positive outcomes for air quality. The Councillor emphasized that the Lombardy region is effectively tackling the challenge of air pollution, confirming a significant reduction in PM10 and PM2.5 emissions compared to the European average.
