Renovation of the middle school in Roè Volciano: students in Vobarno
With the start of the new school year, renovation work will commence on the “F. Odorici” middle school in Roè Volciano. This project is essential to ensure the safety and structural integrity of the building, which was inaugurated in 1981. Mayor Mario Apollonio emphasized the urgency of this initiative, made possible by a non-repayable grant of 3.5 million euros from the Ministry of Education. The work is set to begin in early autumn and is expected to last approximately eighteen months. During this period, neither the intended use nor the internal spaces of the building will be altered, while the exterior will undergo an aesthetic renewal.
During the renovation, the over 150 students will be temporarily relocated to Vobarno, specifically to the former elementary schools on Via Poli, thanks to an agreement between the two municipalities. To facilitate the transfer of students to the G.E. Falck school in Vobarno, a shuttle bus service will be provided, as communicated by Councillor Cristina Micheli to the families involved. The school library will find temporary accommodation at the local parish until the completion of the renovation work.
