Tremosine: the reopening of the Strada della Forra has been arranged for alternating one-way traffic. Today, Friday, August 1st, is a significant date for the local community, as it marks the partial reopening of the Strada della Forra, which had been closed since December 2023 due to a landslide that caused approximately 8,000 cubic meters of rock to collapse into the lake. The event was attended by Emanuele Moraschini, President of the Province of Brescia, Battista Girardi, Mayor of Tremosine, and Franceschino Risatti, President of the Garda Community. Although traffic has resumed, it is currently regulated for alternating one-way flow to allow for further technical interventions and to ensure safety along the most critical section.
The prolonged closure has had a significant impact on alternative routes and tourism in the area; residents of the local districts have had to navigate complex detours to reach the coast, while accommodation facilities have experienced a decline in visitors. With this partial reopening, a process towards gradual normalization begins for both residents and local businesses.
