The Strada della Forra, located in the Gargnano Park, is set to reopen, contingent upon the installation of traffic lights and monitoring systems. The Province of Brescia has initiated work on the installation of sensors, which will take approximately a month to position. In November, data collection and geological analysis will take place, which are essential for assessing the stability of the cliff.
If the monitoring results indicate a stable situation, the road could reopen by the end of the year. However, to ensure public safety, a traffic light system will need to be installed to implement temporary closures in the event of rock movements exceeding permissible limits. Simultaneously, studies are underway to design a new tunnel to replace the one damaged by the landslide last December.
