The council of Riva del Garda approved a resolution on Thursday, November 20, aimed at reorganizing the city’s parking system, with the intention of prioritizing residents and commuters in central areas. The new strategy involves directing tourists to paid underground parking and peripheral zones, while promoting the use of an enhanced shuttle bus service to facilitate travel to the city center. The announcement was made on Friday, November 21, by Mayor Alessio Zanoni and other council members during a press conference. The mayor emphasized that this initiative represents a first step in the overall reorganization of urban mobility, aimed at addressing the needs identified in public meetings. Among the new measures, a reduced rate is planned for residents of the valley community at the new parking facility in the Park of Liberty. Additionally, adjustments to subscriptions for commuters and residents have been outlined, increasing the number of available parking spaces without the need to resort to such subscriptions. Further benefits for residents concerning white parking spaces in areas of urban significance (zru) will be introduced by March. Italian Version
