An accident occurred on Pizzocolo on the morning of Thursday, March 13, 2025, when a young man required the intervention of mountain rescue. The Valsabbia Station of the mountain rescue service was activated to reach the injured youth at an altitude of 1455 meters. To facilitate the operation, a team used an ATV to access the area, while the helicopter rescue team from Bergamo, operating through the Regional Emergency Agency (AREU), was called in for the recovery.
The technicians from the CNSAS – National Alpine and Speleological Rescue Corps also assisted the individual who was with the young man, who was found to be unharmed. The operation concluded with the return of the rescue teams late in the morning, after ensuring the safety of those involved.
