A hike on Monte Pizzoccolo, near Toscolano Maderno, required the intervention of rescue teams today, Saturday, June 28, for a man who experienced a health issue at an altitude of approximately 1450 meters. The ailment appears to have been caused by the intense heat of the recent summer days. The call for help was made around 1:30 PM to the Soreu delle Alpi central office, which promptly activated the Valle Sabbia Station of the National Alpine and Speleological Rescue Corps (Cnsas), V Brescia delegation.
Three Alpine Rescue technicians headed to the scene of the incident, while the recovery of the hiker was carried out by the Areu helicopter rescue team. Firefighters were also present to provide logistical support. The operation concluded without complications around 4 PM, fortunately without serious consequences for the man involved.
