Two German hikers and their dog were rescued on Mount Pizzocolo after reaching the summit and being unable to return. The incident occurred in the afternoon of June 10, when firefighters and alpine rescue operators from Cnsas intervened along the Southeast ridge of the mountain. Thanks to the intervention of the Drago VF helicopter, rescuers carried out a winching operation to evacuate the girl and the dog, transporting them to Toscolano Maderno, where 118 emergency personnel were waiting for them.
The girl’s companion, in good health, was assisted by a mixed team of Brescia firefighters and Cnsas, who accompanied him down the mountain. Fortunately, no one was injured during the incident.
