The Municipality of Bardolino has recently initiated the restoration of historical inscriptions found throughout the town, entrusting the task to painter Beniamino Peretti. The project has already resulted in the restoration of the first inscription, located near Porta Verona, while the second, situated at the intersection of Borgo Cavour and the Gardesana, will be restored following the removal of an electrical pole by Enel. The restoration involves repairing the plaster and repainting the inscriptions using the same original techniques to maintain their historical appearance.
The total cost for the restoration of the two inscriptions amounts to 2,000 euros plus VAT. Furthermore, the administration led by Bertasi also plans to restore a similar inscription in Cisano in the future, after the current works are completed. This project represents an important initiative to preserve the historical memory of the area and enhance the local cultural heritage.
