In Gardone, restoration work on the mausoleum at the Vittoriale is currently underway, with completion expected by spring. President Giordano Bruno Guerri has announced that the project aims to restore the mausoleum to its original splendor, featuring a white finish and nighttime lighting that will allow for visits even after sunset. This intervention represents one of the most significant undertakings in the history of the Vittoriale, alongside the renovation of the auditorium. The extraordinary maintenance also includes the restoration of a historic aircraft and the installation of a heating and cooling system. To finance these ambitious works, the historic seats of the auditorium will be sold for 190 euros each. These artifacts have hosted numerous distinguished figures over the years, and the proceeds will be used to support ongoing restoration projects. Additionally, the extension of the exhibition “And the Ship Sails On,” dedicated to the famous set designer Dante Ferretti, has been announced, and it will be open for visits until March 1 at Villa Mirabella.
