Starting from May 5 until May 28, the State Road 45 bis Gardesana Occidentale will experience a one-way alternating traffic system in the stretch between the Titans Tunnel and the Gola area, due to construction works for the Garda Cycle Path. This decision, made by the Autonomous Province of Trento, has sparked significant controversy, particularly from the mayor of Limone sul Garda, Franceschino Risatti, who has expressed his concerns about the potential traffic disruptions during a peak tourist season.
Risatti officially communicated his discontent by writing to the Province of Trento and involving other local authorities. The mayor emphasized that the implementation of the one-way alternating traffic could further exacerbate the already critical situation caused by the closure of the “Forra” road, hoping for a revision of the plan that would postpone the works to the next autumn season. The scheduled hours for the construction operations will be from 7:30 AM to 5:30 PM.
