Yesterday, Saturday, June 21, the Alpine Rescue Service carried out a complex operation in the Albola gorge in Riva del Garda, following two injuries sustained by members of a group led by two mountain guides. First aid was provided to a man of Czech nationality who had injured his leg during a descent. The call to the Emergency Number 112 was received around 1:15 PM, activating the Technical Gorge Group of the Trentino Alpine and Speleological Rescue Service, along with the operators from the Riva del Garda Station.
After reaching the injured individual with a healthcare operator and administering initial care, he was rescued via winch by the air rescue team and transported to the hospital in Trento. During the operation, a second member of the group, a 54-year-old resident of Trento, injured his shoulder and chest while completing the descent. The rescuers then returned to the gorge to assist him; after stabilizing him on a stretcher, he was also evacuated by helicopter to the Santa Chiara Hospital in Trento.
