Riva del Garda Hosts Mountain Snow Safety and Avalanche Risk Forum
A free event titled “Snowy Mountains: Studying Avalanches to Develop Awareness” will be held on February 6, 2026, at 8:30 PM in Riva del Garda to educate attendees about avalanche risks and snow conditions. Organized by the SAT Riva del Garda section as part of the “In Montagna Consapevoli” series, the session aims to promote safety awareness among winter mountain enthusiasts.
The event will feature Maurizio Lutzenberger, a mountain guide and Alpine rescue team member, who will share insights on snow formation, avalanche mechanisms, and practical tools for safer mountain excursions. The initiative coincides with the SAT section’s centenary (1926–2026) and is open to both seasoned enthusiasts and casual hikers.
