Giulia Bartolozzi and Pietro Rizzi from the Società Canottieri Garda Salò have been crowned 29er European Champions in the mixed category during the 29er European Championships held in Riva del Garda from July 1 to 8. The event, organized by Fraglia Vela Riva in collaboration with the International 29er Class Association, saw participation from 251 teams representing 29 nations. After a total of 13 races, the Salò duo clinched the continental title, finishing in 8th place overall and surpassing the Swedish team of Selma Hård and Lukas Wolfgang.
The championship was marked by challenging weather conditions, with several thunderstorms making the competition even more demanding. In addition to champions Bartolozzi and Rizzi, four other teams from Canottieri Garda Salò participated in the Silver fleet. Coach Enrico Fonda praised the performances of his athletes, highlighting the technical and tactical maturity they demonstrated throughout the races.
