In Riva del Garda, the inaugural edition of the Swan Lake Garda Challenge is taking place between today and Saturday, marking a significant event in the realm of international sailing. This competition serves as the third event of the season in the Nations League of ClubSwan Racing, where the new ClubSwan 28 monotype boats, produced by Nautor Swan, will race for the first time in inland waters. The event is organized by the Fraglia Vela Riva, with Fausto Maroni leading the local team and Bill O’Hara serving as the PRO.
Eight boats from seven nations will participate in this challenge, with over forty sailors on board. Among the competitors are well-known names such as Marcello (FRA), Play Bigger (USA), and Swing (JPN), who currently occupy the top positions in the overall standings. This event not only marks an important milestone for the ClubSwan 28s but also opens up new opportunities for sailing on lakes, as highlighted by Federico Michetti from Nautor Swan and Andrea Camin from Fraglia Vela Riva.
