After the success in the recent municipal elections, the mayor of Riva del Garda, Alessio Zanoni, officially presented the new City Council over the weekend at the town hall. During the meeting, Zanoni emphasized that the choices made regarding the composition of the Council were driven by the desire to strengthen ties with the community and respond to the city’s needs, highlighting a participatory approach in defining the program.
The mayor retained responsibilities for planning, social policies, and strategic public works, while Deputy Mayor Barbara Angelini will handle social services and youth policies. Other council members have been assigned key roles in areas such as public works, budget, urban planning, and culture. Additionally, two advisory figures were appointed: Matilde Giupponi for youth policies and Francesca Mercadante for the promotion of peace values.
