Riva del Garda Tech Institute Offers New Three-Year Electrical Engineering Program
Students who decide to enroll in the istituto tecnico industriale di Riva del Garda will no longer be required to transfer to Rovereto at the end of the basic two-year program.
Since September 2002, the ITR in Riva del Garda, which has been part of the Giacomo Floriani technological technical high school for the past year, following an unfruitful experience in S. Alessandro (due to significant issues with space and integration), has become an integral part of the institution.
It will evolve into a comprehensive course of higher studies. The traditional two-year training program will be followed by a three-year specialization in electrical engineering, a qualification increasingly in demand in today’s job market.
Features of the new educational path
The course will also be complemented by some curricular subjects, such as mechanics, computer science (Floriani’s flagship), and electronics.
Upon completing the course of study, the new graduate with an IT diploma will have the option to pursue further specialization aimed at obtaining the “responsabile della sicurezza” (safety manager) certification, a rapidly expanding field that requires increasingly advanced training.
The official approval for the reform of the IT in Riva del Garda has been granted, although some issues still remain unresolved, primarily regarding the procurement of specialized laboratory equipment and the identification of suitable spaces within the “Floriani” (although assistance is expected from the Province through the acquisition of the adjacent “Casa del Capitano” to be used for educational purposes).
