Riva Municipal Planning Examines Sports Hall Site Near Palarigotti

The urban planning commission of the municipality of Riva, at the request of the assessore Mosaner, has examined the issue regarding the location of the sports hall. The area identified by the municipal administrations of Riva and Arco, currently occupied by the Palarigotti on the Riva-Arco highway, has been generally deemed suitable.

Commission’s opinion and area analysis

However, the commission’s final opinion has been postponed for fifteen days. During these two weeks, the requested indices and parameters will be analyzed, which in all cases appear to be a variance from the master plans.

The area designated for the regional infrastructure includes the strip of land next to the highway currently occupied by the tent and the discount store, plus the section up to Via Sant’Andrea, which is now cultivated farmland.

Services and infrastructures involved

There is a high-voltage power line tower that needs removal: however, with the planned undergrounding of the lines, this should not pose the main problem. The deviation from the urban development plan, both in Riva and Arco, will need to be approved by their respective municipal councils.
