Riva Residents Protest Parking Ban on Viale Lutti After Market Restrictions

No parking is available in the western section of viale Lutti, and residents of Riva are protesting. During yesterday’s market, in fact, it was not possible to park in the stretch of viale between Martiri and Roma avenues, unlike what had happened during previous markets. Many drivers expressed their concerns after noticing a further, modest number of parking spots being eliminated.

“The ordinance was simply enforced in full,” reports the Municipal Police of Riva Manfredo Stella. “Contrary to what had occurred in previous instances. Proper signage was placed, and the entire stretch of road (whose one-way direction has been reversed) remained free: the parking ban prevents, when restoring the normal traffic direction, conflicts and ensures that most cars are not parked against traffic.”
