On Sunday, September 28, the parish of **San Michele Arcangelo** in **Rivoltella** experienced a significant moment with the **solemn consecration of the church** and its altar, exactly 25 years after their inauguration, which took place on Christmas Eve in 1999. The ceremony, presided over by His Excellency Monsignor Domenico Pompili, Bishop of Verona, was attended by numerous faithful and local authorities in an atmosphere of profound spirituality, coinciding with the eve of the feast dedicated to the patron saint. The parish priest, Father Alberto Giusti, emphasized the importance of the event as an act that transforms the building into a sacred place. The celebration began on the church steps with a performance by the Filarmonic Society of Desenzano del Garda and then continued inside the church, which was filled to capacity. During the rite, the traditional liturgical gestures of consecration were performed, including the anointing of the altar and the walls. Additionally, the relics of Saint Zeno and Saint Blaise were placed within the altar’s mensa. This ceremony not only marks the conclusion of a long-awaited architectural renewal overseen by architect Carlo Ferrari but also opens a new phase for the local Christian community, strengthened by the appointment of Reverend Don Gianluca Peschiera as the new parish priest of the associated parishes.
