On the afternoon of Saturday, June 21, a tragic road accident occurred along the Brenner State Road near Ala, resulting in the death of a 41-year-old motorcyclist from the province of Mantova. According to initial reports from law enforcement, the rider was traveling with another motorcyclist when their bikes collided head-on with a car coming from the opposite direction. The impact was devastating, inflicting critical injuries on the victim, who was rushed to the hospital in dire condition by emergency medical services with the assistance of air rescue for urgent transport to Santa Chiara Hospital in Trento. Despite the doctors’ efforts, the man passed away shortly after arriving at the emergency room.
Following the accident, the other two individuals involved—the second motorcyclist and the car driver—sustained injuries as well, although less severe, and were taken to the hospital for further evaluation. The tragedy had significant repercussions on traffic: the Brenner State Road was closed for several hours, causing long queues and disruptions to circulation. Firefighters from Ala and Mori responded to the scene to secure the area and restore traffic flow.
