On May 17, 2025, a traffic accident occurred between the toll booths of Brescia Est and Desenzano, heading towards Lake Garda, resulting in a traffic jam of approximately 8 kilometers. The incident involved seven vehicles, but fortunately, there are no reports of serious injuries. Two ambulances and a fire brigade team promptly arrived on the scene to manage a small fire that had started in one of the vehicles involved.
The relevant authorities, through the Verona Sud traffic police, have announced that two of the three lanes have been reopened, and traffic is currently being cleared. Motorists have been advised to exercise caution while the situation is being normalized.
