The incident took place around 12:30 PM at the intersection of Via Marconi and Via Nazario Sauro, where the elderly woman was hit by a car while crossing the street at the crosswalk. According to initial reports, the driver of the vehicle, who is also of advanced age, attempted to overtake a stationary bus.
Emergency services and law enforcement responded promptly to the scene of the accident. The responders provided assistance to the woman, and due to the severity of her condition, arranged for her urgent transport in critical condition to the hospital in Desenzano. Subsequently, because of her critical state, she was airlifted to the Civile Hospital in Brescia for specialized care.
