A tragic traffic accident occurred in Desenzano del Garda during the night between Friday and Saturday, resulting in the death of Eleonora Masseni, a 31-year-old woman originally from Dosolo but residing for some time in Peschiera del Garda. The dynamics of the accident involved the victim’s vehicle, a Citroën C3, losing control due to the rain-slicked road and veering into the opposite lane, where a truck was passing. Despite the heavy vehicle driver’s attempt to avoid the collision, the two vehicles collided violently.
The immediate intervention of emergency services could not save Eleonora, who died on impact. The truck driver involved in the accident, a 31-year-old from Treviso, was unharmed but in shock from the incident. Authorities are investigating the circumstances that led to this tragic event.
