A tragic road accident occurred on the afternoon of Monday, July 7, along the Gardesana, at the border between Gargnano and Toscolano Maderno, where a 30-year-old motorcyclist lost his life. The accident took place around 5:45 PM and involved two foreign tourists in a car and the young Italian rider on a high-displacement motorcycle. According to initial reports, the car was attempting to make a turn when the motorcyclist was unable to avoid the collision, crashing into the guardrail.
Emergency services were dispatched to the scene, including a rescue helicopter that took off from Brescia, but there was nothing that could be done for the motorcyclist: he died on impact due to the severe injuries sustained. The Traffic Police conducted the necessary investigations, while the Local Police managed traffic, which remained disrupted to allow for rescue operations. Traffic experienced significant delays in both directions, resulting in long queues in the area.
