Last Saturday, an extraordinary traffic control operation conducted by the Local Police of Valle Sabbia resulted in the revocation of 28 driving licenses, highlighting the authorities’ commitment to ensuring road safety and combating reckless driving behavior. The checks revealed a concerning trend among motorcyclists, many of whom performed illegal overtaking as if they were on a racetrack, disregarding fundamental rules. During the operation, the safety devices of vehicles were also inspected, leading to one motorcycle being placed under administrative seizure due to the extremely dangerous condition of its tires.
In the days leading up to the operation, another seven licenses had already been suspended for similar infractions. In addition to road checks, law enforcement monitored public areas during the evening, resulting in the seizure of narcotics and fines for consuming alcohol in public places. This intervention underscores the importance of overseeing road safety and maintaining urban decorum in the most frequented areas.
