During the first weekend of the summer exodus, the Brescia Traffic Police intensified road checks to ensure road safety, confiscating a total of 11 driving licenses. The checks focused on the main roads of the province, particularly those leading to tourist destinations and along routes with high motorcycle traffic. During these operations, 7 violations related to driving under the influence were recorded, along with 4 fines for the use of electronic devices while driving, behaviors that continue to pose serious risks to road users.
In addition to the license confiscations, six motorists were criminally charged for blood alcohol levels exceeding the legal limits. The Traffic Police announced that the checks will continue and be intensified in the coming weeks, with plainclothes patrols and unmarked vehicles aimed at further combating reckless behavior. The goal remains to protect every life on the road, highlighting the importance of responsible driving during the summer period.
