On Monday, the renovation work at the intersection of the SP668 and the road to the Campagna district will commence. This long-awaited intervention aims to improve traffic flow in Lonato and ensure greater road safety. With a total investment of 750,000 euros, of which 470,000 will be covered by the Province and 280,000 by the Municipality, a new Campagna roundabout will be constructed, designed to reduce the number of accidents that have plagued this critical point. The work will last for several months, with completion expected by the end of summer.
During the construction period, which will take place from May 12 to June 13, temporary modifications to road traffic will be implemented. The local police have already issued an ordinance prohibiting trucks weighing over 3.5 tons on certain streets in the municipality. The roundabout will feature three branches and will be equipped with lighting to enhance visibility in the area, thereby contributing to increased safety for road users.
