Following the recent tragic incidents that have affected the Gardesana, Federalberghi Garda Veneto has decided to take an active stance on road safety in the Lake Garda area. The association, which represents over 430 tourism establishments, has sent a letter to the mayors of the municipalities in the region to offer collaboration in finding urgent solutions to enhance safety along the Strada Regionale 249. President Ivan De Beni emphasized the importance of protecting both residents and tourists, highlighting that safety is a priority that must be addressed in conjunction with local administrations and law enforcement.
Federalberghi Garda Veneto is already actively engaged in promoting initiatives to ease vehicular traffic, such as collaborating with ATV to encourage the use of public transport and projects like the Opera Bus Service. Additionally, the Bike & Trekking Lago di Garda Veneto portal offers cycling and walking routes to promote more sustainable mobility. The commitment to invest in these alternatives is seen as essential for ensuring a safe and responsible tourist experience along the Gardesana.
