Roberto De Marchi Headlines Festival del Garda in Mantova
Volta Mantovana. The exuberant comedy of Roberto De Marchi, a comedian who recently appeared in videos on Mediaset networks, characterized the Festival del Garda during its first and only stop in Virgilian land.
The outspoken comic received thunderous applause from the audience gathered in the beautiful outdoor area of Giardini di Palazzo Gonzaga, the municipality of Mantova venue.
The background of the stage, featuring a castle with three open doors overlooking the blue lake, topped with a sailboat, nestled among ancient trees, made the scenery even more enchanting, ready to highlight the beauty of Susanna Huckstep, a statuesque figure dressed in an elegant yet simple black outfit that accentuated her natural assets.
Interventions and Competitions
The former Miss Italy struggled to conceal her emotion and debut anxiety, slipping in a couple of minor mishaps quickly forgiven by the audience, captivated by the simplicity and grace of the former national queen.
Immediately impressive was the singing contest for the interpretive section, with success going to the 18-year-old Federica Perinon from Alpo.
The high school student from Istituto Galileo-Galilei in Verona performed the piece “Senza Confini” by Eramo & Passavanti, dedicating her passage to the next round to her father, her first fan.
Trailing by only one point was the blonde from Villafranca, Francesca Speri from Monteforte d’Alpone (Gli uomini non cambiano – Mia Martini).
Third place went to the Mantuan Daniela Montagnoli (Non abbassare gli occhi – Matia Bazar), who left behind a familiar face from Cantalago, Emiliano Thomas Tagliavini from Colorno (Questo piccolo grande amore – Baglioni).
There was no doubt in awarding, for the original songs section, the top honor to Massimo Marchesi, singer-songwriter of Cambiare nel tempo.
Choreography and Stage Performance
Although only at the second stop, the Festival del Garda has already identified the dance troupe, organized by choreographer Nando De Bortoli, as one of the event’s core pillars.
Athletic, sensual, and perfectly synchronized, the Gamblers, namely, in strict alphabetical order, Deborah Arduini, Federica Bianchini, Lisa Lambo, and Silvia Poletti.
With the magnificent four on stage, De Bortoli combines hip-hop dance with an electrifying soundtrack, a mix of Tlc and Jackson music.
The Rise of Young Talents
The increasing skill of Elisa Antonelli (Innamorata ancora) is evident night after night; she is confident and possesses great stage presence.
In playback interpretation, Ale Scatizzi (Il negozio di giocatori), a Warner Music production, stands out.
