Rocca Canal Docking Plan Allocates 28 Spots for Residents and Professionals

An emerging solution, albeit partial, is taking shape for the docking of rowboats in the northern section of the Rocca canal. The related regulation will be approved at the next city council meeting.

It provides for 28 boat spots, sufficient to accommodate the 12 pending requests. The priority chapter stipulates that professionals (i.e., the only one still officially active) will be served first, followed by residents of Riva, then those who, regardless, have an address in Riva.

Costs and mooring procedures

The cost of mooring has been set at 20,000 lire per month, and the contract must be signed for a minimum duration of 6 months.

Subsequently, the entire tourist harbors sector will be reviewed in the regulations commission.
