Rotary Club Brescia Expands Leukemia Typing Initiative to Bologna

The “End Leukemia Now” project, initiated by the Rotary Club Brescia Capitolium in collaboration with ADMO, has registered over 1,600 tissue typings and facilitated 16 bone marrow donations since 2016. Recent activities include a typization event on March 28 at Palaleonessa A2A, which collected 194 samples and involved local sports teams like Pallacanestro Brescia and Vanoli Cremona, allowing participants to register as donors via blood test or saliva swab.

President Valentino Cerri announced the expansion of the initiative to include Rotary Clubs Brescia Manerbio, Brescia Sud Ovest Maclodio, and Soncino Orzinuovi. Originally focused on rugby with 166 potential donors, the program now also targets basketball, aiming to raise awareness and increase donor typizations across Brescia and Cremona.
