The project “Free from Within” presents the living library, an initiative that will take place from May 10 to June 7 in various locations, including Rovereto, Trento, Riva del Garda, and Predazzo. This event offers the opportunity to meet “human books,” individuals with significant life stories, such as former inmates and family members involved in the penal system. The aim is to promote dialogue and break down prejudices through direct encounters, creating a space to listen to experiences often overlooked by society. The living library, recognized by the Council of Europe as a tool for the promotion of human rights, represents an important opportunity for cultural exchange.
Activities will take place on various dates: in Rovereto on May 10 from 3 PM to 6 PM in Piazza del Mart, in Trento on May 16 from 4 PM to 7 PM at the Diocesan Museum, in Riva del Garda on May 31 from 3:30 PM to 6:30 PM in Piazza delle Erbe (with a possible relocation in case of bad weather), and finally in Predazzo on June 7 from 3 PM to 6 PM at the municipal library. The initiative is realized in collaboration with numerous local entities and associations, highlighting the importance of the community in supporting projects for social inclusion and intercultural dialogue.
