At the Mart in Rovereto, a major sports exhibition titled “Sport. The Challenges of the Body” will commence on November 1, 2025. This event aims to explore the connection between art and sports through a selection of approximately 300 works from 150 artists, organized into eight thematic sections. In preparation for the inauguration, the museum has launched a video campaign on its social media channels, releasing a new video every two days to amplify the themes of the exhibition. The videos feature four young athletes from local sports clubs, showcasing how athletic movement can embody both competitive expression and aesthetic beauty. The exhibition, curated by Antonio Calbi and Daniela Ferrari, will run until March 22, 2026 and represents a journey through the history of art, focusing on the body in motion. It will display not only historical masterpieces but also archival materials that narrate the evolution of the athlete’s figure from antiquity to the present day. The synergy between visual art and sports practices will also be highlighted through historical documents and memorabilia related to sports legends, creating a unique dialogue between culture and physical performance.
