A morning dedicated to institutional dialogue took place in Desenzano del Garda on Thursday, June 19, featuring the visit of the new Police Chief of Brescia, Paolo Sartori. During his meeting with the local administration, the Chief emphasized the importance of security and prevention, highlighting the need to strengthen the dialogue between law enforcement and local institutions. Accompanied by Mayor Guido Malinverno, Security Councillor Pietro Avanzi, and other representatives of local authorities, Sartori expressed his intention to implement concrete tools for shared security, especially in light of the challenges posed by the summer season.
The Chief also reiterated the significance of Neighborhood Watch groups as a fundamental resource for the community. He stated that prevention must become a cornerstone of control activities and that it will be essential to continue collaborating with local authorities to ensure effective monitoring of the housing situation. Mayor Malinverno welcomed the visit, emphasizing that preventive measures such as travel bans and DASPO (prohibition of access to certain areas) are crucial for maintaining high levels of security within the community.
