Safety Concerns at the Nago Intersection
The serious accident involving a young girl a few days ago, who was crossing the state highway by bicycle at the intersection with Via Stazione in Nago, brings the long-standing issue of the danger posed by this crossing back into focus.
Concerned residents, including Municipal Councilor Mario Mazzoldi from the Comunità Nago-Torbole group — who authored an inquiry on the topic — wonder why the project for the underpass has not yet been implemented, as the plans remain stalled at the Comune.
Why has the cycle path project, located just below Passo S. Giovanni, already been completed, while this remains only on paper?
Requests for Action and Proposals
Mazzoldi, addressing Mayor Parolari, demands explanations for the delay of such a critical safety infrastructure for many residents living in the area (who are expected to increase significantly with upcoming urban expansion plans). He also suggests the urgent, temporary installation of a call-operated traffic light that allows pedestrians and cyclists to cross the highway safely.
